I’ve been on the hunt for geek chic glasses and last night I found the perfect pair. Wandering around Soho, I spotted a window poster of glittery cat-eye sunglasses. I HAD to try them on. Fabulous as they were, I couldn’t pull them off. No worries, this was no ordinary sunglass store. Oh no, I’d stumbled into the eyewear mecca Ilori. Amazing selection, expert staff. And they were having a party! This was the first pair the sales associate suggested. They looked small, almost child-size, but fit me perfectly. Love.

Flipping through the recent issue of Glamour, I spotted these Robert Clergerie lovelies. I haven’t been able to track them down anywhere online, so I’m on the hunt for an equally fabulous masculine-yet-feminine gangster-style oxford. I bought these last summer when I was having knee problems and needed a break from my usual sky-high heels. I like them, but I don’t love them. They seem a little wimpy, not quite edgy enough, sassy enough, or goes-with-everything enough. Would I feel the same about these?

I was in J. Crew over the weekend for the first time in ages. I’m in love, love, love with the new look! So many of my favorite things–sequins, beads, chunky necklaces, short skirts, fringe, satin, many layers, tailored looks, a dusty fall color palette. I definitely need to pick up one of the sequin skirts for fall. Sequins for the office? Of course! Head over to J. Crew and see for yourself….

J. Crew incorporated the best of the season in the photo shoot they did with the cast of the upcoming movie The Romantics. Aside from the fabulous clothes, this behind-the-scenes video shows how much fun the cast had.

My friends laugh and tease me for my boot addiction. I’m not sure how many pairs I own, but no two are the same. Tall, short, booties, suede, leather, black, brown, red…I’d wear boots all year long if the summers weren’t so hot!

I bought these pirate-esque boots (last seen here) last winter because they were different than anything that was out there. They were edgy and unique, and I loved the fact I could wear them folded over or pulled up to expose the suede underside. I had a little trouble styling them at first (do I wear them with jeans? Tights? Both, as it turns out!), but decided to stop doubting myself and just to go with it. As it turns out, people love these boots. I receive so many compliments whenever I wear them. Since they aren’t that tall, they will be one of the first pairs to come back into rotation once fall arrives.

On a recent web search for the perfect pair of clogs, I came across this cuffed convertible style of boot on several websites. I haven’t seen it in magazines yet, but I’m guessing it won’t be too long. So go ahead, get noticed and have a little fun:
